Mentorship

Mentorship within ARIVE is structured as a complementary layer to supervision, designed to enrich the research environment rather than replace academic guidance.

Supervisors remain the primary academic reference point, responsible for guiding research design, ensuring methodological consistency, and supporting the feasibility of projects. Mentors, in contrast, contribute external perspectives, introduce conceptual insights, and engage participants in dialogue that deepens interpretation and critical thinking.

This dual structure creates a balanced learning environment in which participants receive both structured guidance and exposure to diverse academic viewpoints. At the same time, it supports the development of supervision practices among academic staff, strengthening institutional capacity for research-based learning in digital and interdisciplinary contexts.
